Trade show strategy hobbled by company leaders

In my latest post, Too busy to execute a trade show strategy, we discussed the need to eliminate waste within an organization in order to impact trade show results.  The post shows that those using trade shows as a marketing tool don't care about history or results.  Just like today, 30 years ago only 80% of all trade show leads were not followed up.

Rationalizing poor trade show results

Bob Burg, Co-author of The Go-Giver, says that as human beings we can rationalize anything. He breaks the word "rationalize" down to "rational-lies." That's really what it is. We justify our actions by lying to ourselves.
