Trade show strategy hobbled by company leaders

In my latest post, Too busy to execute a trade show strategy, we discussed the need to eliminate waste within an organization in order to impact trade show results.  The post shows that those using trade shows as a marketing tool don't care about history or results.  Just like today, 30 years ago only 80% of all trade show leads were not followed up.

I have been a runner since 8th grade.  My good friend, Frank Damelio, with no experience, said he wanted to start running.  I gave him advice.  He did the best he could, and achieved positive results.

I just read a blog post from Seth Godin titled, If you could meet one person... The idea is: if you could meet one person that would help your business, who would it be?

It's very close to those New Year's Resolutions. So, I'd like to make it even easier. It can be one person or one thing that you could do to help your business.

So what did you come up with?
