MingleStick Functionality Revolutionizes Trade Show Effectiveness – Part 2: Attendee Benefit
What does the attendee get on their MingleStick if they click with an exhibitor - contact info, PDF's, video?
Let me first explain that Mingle360 offers two products: the MingleStick and the MingleStation. The MingleStick is a key-chain sized device that can be carried in a person's pocket or tied to a lanyard. The MingleStation is a countertop device that sits on the exhibitor's table. When two people have a MingleStick, both press their buttons to create a connection with each other. The MingleStation, on the other hand, sits in passive mode on the table. An attendee simply walks up to the MingleStation and presses the button on their MingleStick. Please watch this animated video to understand the difference between the two. (Don't panic, the video contains no sound).
To answer your question specifically: when an attendee connects with an exhibitor, they will eventually login into their online account to view the company's profile information and any additional information the company uploads to the website. Because Mingle360 has built a website application, it is very extensible. Feature sets can be unlimited (they would just need to be developed!).
What is the advantage for the attendee?
The MingleStick truly revolutionizes networking for attendees at a trade show. In the past, no technology supported attendee-to-attendee networking. With a MingleStick, an attendee can network with other attendees with a simple click of a button. This is incredibly powerful. Think about trade shows with 5K, 10K, or 50K attendees. Thousands of people can now ‘click to connect' and an incredible experience results. Attendees love our electronic business card technology because it's so simple to use and effective. After connecting with hundreds of people the connections are uploaded to the internet and viewed within an online address book. An attendee can view the contact information and profile pictures of all their connections. Feel free to watch the various customer testimonials (more testimonials) about the MingleStick.
If I network with someone and want to record what we talked about, what can I do? Do I need to have a piece of paper?
Your questions are phenomenal. We realized attendees wanted the capability to add notes about their conversations. We devised a way for the attendee to use a kiosk laptop (or their own laptop) to add notes regarding their conversations with other attendees. Please watch the following video that explains this process further, and demonstrates the registration process an attendee undergoes for receiving their MingleStick.
I believe the MingleStick has some other amazing functionality. After the show the networking continues. Don't you have the ability to create your own social network?
Yes, a social network can be created on Mingle360. We also realize attendees are loyal users of social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., so we want to be seen as a portal. Therefore, attendees can share their social networking profiles with their MingleStick connections. Imagine mingling with 200 people and being able to automatically share your LinkedIn profile with them! This networking potential in incredible!
The MingleStick functionality revolutionizes trade show effectiveness because it allows the trade show attendee to make connections and collect qualified leads at a trade show just like an exhibitor. The ability to follow up and stay connected after a trade show is powerful. As an attendee, if we see value in a show, we tell our network and we come back. This is what keeps a trade show strong. Trade show organizers should want to use this product.
If you attended a show that uses the MingleStick, then tell us your thoughts.
