Trade show strategy hobbled by company leaders
In my latest post, Too busy to execute a trade show strategy, we discussed the need to eliminate waste within an organization in order to impact trade show results. The post shows that those using trade shows as a marketing tool don't care about history or results. Just like today, 30 years ago only 80% of all trade show leads were not followed up.
I think it's a company's culture that is suppressing trade show success. Read the 12 traits in Seth Godin's post, The problem with cable news thinking. In the post he says:
If I wanted to hobble an organization or even a country, I'd wish these twelve traits on them. I wonder if this sounds like the last board meeting you went to...
